Silke booked at the weekend the train to Verona. Now there is no escape for our vacation anymore. Italy you better be prepared for us!

Really good: The new train provider is way cheaper than the previous offer from the Deutsche Bahn. We could even already chose the menu for having dinner in the train. The choice was about Beaf, Fish or vegetarian. For breakfast we could go either for the “quick-and-dirty” standard of the gourmet version. We decided for the gourmet-breakfast. In total this will cost us less than 600 Euro for  dinner, breakfast and transport of 2 people …

Pleasure & Wine – Tour 2017 / Italy

It is wet and cold outside – so the best time to make our plans for summer vacation on the motorbikes. We already agreed on the country and now we have to do a little bit of finetuning on the tour itself.

This year we will end up in Italy and enjoy life on our own motorbikes. No rentals, no group, just Silke and myself as it should be.

New Toys

This one looks almost like a rear mirror, but it is more like the extension of my Smartphone display. Since a couple of days i am a proud TOMTOM Vio owner.

TOMTOM sells the vio as Navigation system for Scooter. Well, the Hornet has two tires, one engine and a handlebar. But i will not call the Hornet a Scooter likewise i call this round something a Navigation system. HOWEVER: It is waterproof, does what it is supposed to and left a good impression after the first couple of days playing around with it.

Back from the Track

…personal fastest lap was 1:31. Of course not the fastest lap on world, but it is not slow either considering that people like me are only one or two times a year on a reacetrack.
The track itself is extremely easy to learn, because it is flat. I just needed three laps in the first turn to achieve an acceptable speed. Only the journey to and from the track wsa kind of annoying, because of the looong distance and the weather conditions.But regardless – we are back and with a very wide grin in our faces.

Anneau du Rhin

Darkness – that’s all our bikes saw in the last couple of weeks. As so many years: Just not enough miles on the own Motorbike. Alright, China was a good start – but on a Shineray. We have an affair with chinese bikes and our own bikes suffer on love deprivation.

 China 2016 – a Motorbike Trip in Yunnan (short version)

The tour is starting in Dali and is taking us via Shaxi into the Tiger Leaping Gorge. This area is really showing off with giant rocks, deep gorges and the massive power of the river. In case you decide to take some time for  a sweaty hike you will be rewarded with some unbelievable impressions from the nature. After this your thighs may hurt, but at least for us it was worth it to do this exhausting  hike.
