Geschwister

Shopping in Hamburg

Normally i don’T like shopping. But at the weekend i made a quick buy on the exhibition in Hamburg.

The initial plan said: substiantially more horsepower. For this reason i tested last Year the S1000R as well as the MT10. The engine of the MT10 is massive and the sound makes you to hear more. But some how the handling could not convince me 100%

For this reason i ordered on the exhibition the little MT09 SP. Basically  no change at all to my current bike regarding the power – but at least i lost 20kg of weight. Now the …

New Toys for Silke’s MT-09

This was the last time i volunteered to mount some stuff to my wifes bike! At my Hornet it was a piece of cake to mount the turn indicator – however the MT09 is a way more difficult animal.

To replace the original lights i had to disassemble half the motorbike. I am happy that the engine could remain in the frame. In total it was necessary to remove 26 screws, before i could mount the new indicators. Despite of the fact that the holder for the indicators is not even fixed with a screw!

At least it was worth …

Winterblues

The New Year just started and i already have it: Winterblues!

On Facebook i found a little video – with Motorbikes on an indoor funtrack. I remembered an event with a similar concept that was called “Supermoto for everybody“. So i kickstarted my Google and found out: This still exists! Awesome!

Quickly decided to book this event – all “official” dates have been already sold out. Due to the big interest an additional weekend was offered. Now we booked a slot on the 25th of March – 5 hours of time to drive in tiny ittle circles on …

Escape from Winter 2017 – Review

A little more than 1.200km in approx. one week. This was our trip to Lagos. Our rental bikes have been a MT-07 as well as a BMW 650GS. Both bikes are doing the Job, but the sound of both bikes is a little like a persisting wet fart. Next time we will go again for a XT660 – the sound is a lot better and there is more power at lo RPM.

But i don’t like to complain too much – the bikes have been technically o.k. and they showed us for one week the Algarve.

I am afraid that …

Groß-Dölln 2017

What a Weekend!

The guys at the “Rappodetalsperre” did some good stuff to turn the Harz into an attractive area. The Megazipline, a giant suspension bridge, and with 70m the certainly Germany largest swing as well as Wall-Running creating a really nice leisure park. On our way to Groß-Dölln we decided to stop there and try the Megazipline which will take over the lake. Connected to a steel wire and flying with 90km/h down to the valley does not get close to the feeling when you hit turns fast with the motorbike, but it was a nice experience.

After this …

Back on Track!

After 5 long weeks my Hornet is back on track! Big Hands for Rocco and @Luca Daverio who arranged the return shipment from Italy. Other than that special thanks to @Thomas Knaul who offered me the necessary parts. And special thanks to @Coors-Zweiradtechnik. Even if vacation time was knocking on the door, Cathi did Overtime on a Saturday just to get this finished and allow me to go to the Track next week. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
